Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LRP-5 (Low-Density Lipoprotein Receptor-Related Protein 5) is a member of the LDL receptor family and plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including bone metabolism and the Wnt signaling pathway, which is essential for bone formation and maintenance. The study of LRP-5 has gained significant attention due to its implications in osteoporosis and bone-related diseases; mutations in the LRP-5 gene are associated with high bone mass and skeletal anomalies. Researchers are particularly interested in developing recombinant LRP-5 proteins to explore their structural and functional characteristics, facilitating the understanding of LRP-5's role in signaling pathways and gene regulation. Additionally, recombinant LRP-5 proteins can serve as valuable tools for drug development and therapeutic strategies aimed at treating metabolic bone disorders. By investigating the interactions and mechanisms of action of LRP-5 within cellular contexts, scientists aim to uncover potential targets for enhancing bone health and countering degenerative bone diseases, highlighting the importance of LRP-5 in both fundamental research and clinical applications.
