简介
PP1MG Protein, a member of PPM family of serine/threonine phosphatases, has an important role in controlling cell cycle progression. PP1MG Proteinregulates the phosphorylation of SRSF3 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and contributes to the proliferation, invasion, and metastasis of HCC. PP1MG Protein forms a distinct holoenzyme complex with the PP2A regulatory subunit B56δ. B56δ‐PPM1G dephosphorylates α‐catenin at serine 641, which is necessary for the appropriate assembly of adherens junctions and the prevention of aberrant cell migration[1][2]. PP1MG Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived PP1MG protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PP1MG (Protein Phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit, Myotonic Gene) is a crucial protein implicated in multiple cellular processes, including muscle contraction and hormonal regulation. The study of PP1MG has gained attention due to its involvement in myotonic dystrophy, a genetic disorder characterized by muscle weakness and wasting. This condition is linked to the abnormal expansion of CTG repeats in the DMPK gene, leading to disrupted protein interactions and signaling pathways. Research has shown that PP1MG acts as a regulatory subunit for protein phosphatase 1 (PP1), modulating its activity and specificity in various tissues, particularly in skeletal muscle. Understanding the structure, function, and regulation of PP1MG is essential for elucidating its role in normal physiology and disease mechanisms. Targeting PP1MG has the potential to offer therapeutic strategies for myotonic dystrophy and related disorders by restoring the function of affected signaling pathways. Additionally, studies on PP1MG contribute to the broader understanding of phosphatase regulation in cellular signaling networks, highlighting its significance in development and differentiation. As research progresses, insights into PP1MG could provide valuable information for the development of novel therapeutic approaches aimed at combating muscle-related diseases and improving overall muscle health.
