  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

STAT4 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 4) is a critical transcription factor involved in the signaling pathways of various cytokines, particularly interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ). It plays a significant role in immune responses, particularly in the differentiation of T cells into Th1 cells, which are essential for combating intracellular pathogens. Dysregulation of STAT4 has been implicated in autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis, making it a target for therapeutic interventions. The production and characterization of recombinant STAT4 protein are essential for understanding its structure-function relationship, regulatory mechanisms, and interactions with other signaling molecules. By utilizing techniques such as recombinant DNA technology and protein expression systems, researchers can generate large quantities of pure STAT4 for biochemical assays and structural studies. Investigating the conformational characteristics and post-translational modifications of STAT4 can provide insights into its functional dynamics and may identify potential drug targets to modulate its activity in disease contexts. Moreover, understanding how STAT4 integrates signals from various cytokines can enhance our overall comprehension of the immune system's complexity and its implications in health and disease.
