SMOC1 Protein plays essential roles in both eye and limb development and is a regulator of osteoblast differentiation. SMOC1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived SMOC1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-8*His labeled tag.

  • Biological Activity

    Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of A431 human epithelial carcinoma cells. When 5 x 104 cells/well are added to rhSMOC-1 coated plates, cell adhesion is enhanced in a dose dependent manner after 75 minutes at 37°C. The ED50 for this effect is 0.5-1.5 μg/mL. Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of A431 human epithelial carcinoma cells. When 5 x 104 cells/well are added to rhSMOC-1 coated plates, cell adhesion is enhanced in a dose dependent manner after 75 minutes at 37°C. The ED50 for this effect is 0.5833 μg/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 1714.384 units/mg.

    The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
