简介
HER3, a pivotal tyrosine-protein kinase, acts as a crucial cell receptor for neuregulins. Neuregulin-1 (NRG1) activation boosts tyrosine phosphorylation and interaction with p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. CSPG5 may also activate HER3. Its involvement in myeloid cell differentiation underscores HER3's vital role in essential cellular processes for normal development and function. HER3 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived HER3 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HER3, or Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 3, is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family, which plays a critical role in cell signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, differentiation, and survival. Despite its potential as a target for cancer therapy, HER3 has been underexplored due to its unique signaling characteristics and the lack of intrinsic kinase activity, which differentiates it from other HER family members. Its role in receptor dimerization, particularly forming heterodimers with active receptors like HER2, has been linked to tumor progression and resistance to therapies, particularly in breast and other cancers. The research focus on HER3 recombinant proteins has intensified as scientists aim to elucidate its biological function and therapeutic potential. These recombinant proteins serve as essential tools for studying HER3's role in cancer biology and for developing novel therapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies and small molecule inhibitors. By producing and characterizing HER3 recombinant proteins, researchers can investigate their interactions with ligands and other receptors, offering insights into the complex signaling networks within cancer cells. Understanding HER3's function and its contributions to oncogenic processes may pave the way for innovative treatments, addressing the limitations observed with existing therapies and potentially overcoming resistance mechanisms in cancer treatment regimens.
