简介
Complexin-2 (CPLX2) protein plays a key role in regulating synaptic vesicle dynamics, acting as a negative regulator of synaptic vesicle cluster formation. It precisely affects vesicle localization to the presynaptic membrane. CPLX2/Complexin-2 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived CPLX2/Complexin-2 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CPLX2, also known as Complexin-2, is a key protein that plays a vital role in synaptic transmission and neurotransmitter release in the nervous system. With its distinct structural features, including a central α-helical domain, CPLX2 is involved in the regulation of synaptic vesicle fusion, acting as a crucial modulator of vesicle dynamics at presynaptic terminals. Research has demonstrated that CPLX2 serves to both facilitate and inhibit neurotransmitter release, depending on the context, thus tightly regulating the release machinery. Its dysregulation has been implicated in various neuropsychiatric disorders, highlighting its importance in maintaining synaptic homeostasis. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant expression of CPLX2 to elucidate its functional mechanisms and interactions with other synaptic proteins, aiming to deepen our understanding of synaptic physiology and the molecular basis of synaptic disorders. The production of recombinant CPLX2 allows for detailed biochemical and biophysical characterization, enabling researchers to investigate its role in vesicle fusion processes and assess its potential as a therapeutic target for conditions associated with synaptic dysfunction. Understanding CPLX2's function will not only shed light on the fundamental aspects of neurotransmission but also contribute to the development of novel strategies for treating neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases.
