IL-1 beta

简介
IL-1 beta is a potent proinflammatory cytokine expressed by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. IL-1 beta plays a key role in inflammation and immunologic reactions[1][2]. IL-1 beta Protein, Human (E6K, His) is produced in E. coli with a N-Terminal His-tag. It consists of 269 amino acids (M1-S269).
- Application
-
Biological Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized human IL1B at 10 μg/mL (100 μl/well) can bind human IL1R1 and the EC50 is 0.1-1.5 μg/mL. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized human IL1B at 10 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind human IL1R1 and the EC50 is 1.242 μg/mL.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a crucial role in the immune response and inflammatory processes. Its dysregulation is implicated in various pathological conditions, including autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammatory disorders, and even certain cancers. IL-1β is primarily produced by activated macrophages and is known to influence the activity of various immune cells, promoting the expression of other pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators. The research surrounding recombinant IL-1β protein focuses on understanding its structure, function, and the signaling pathways it activates. Recombinant forms of IL-1β are utilized in experimental therapies and investigational studies to explore their potential in treating diseases characterized by excessive inflammation. Furthermore, advancements in recombinant DNA technology have allowed for the production of high-purity IL-1β, facilitating rigorous studies of its biological activities and therapeutic applications. Researchers are particularly interested in its role as a therapeutic target to mitigate chronic inflammatory conditions, assessing its use in both in vitro and in vivo models. Overall, the study of IL-1β recombinant protein is vital for elucidating its mechanisms in inflammation and exploring novel therapeutic interventions to modulate immune responses in various diseases.
