Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FKBP12 (FK506-binding protein 12) is a 12-kDa protein that plays a critical role in various cellular processes, including protein folding, signal transduction, and the regulation of immune responses. Its interaction with immunosuppressive drugs, such as FK506 and rapamycin, has made it a focal point in pharmacological research, particularly in the context of organ transplantation and autoimmune diseases. Moreover, FKBP12 acts as a regulatory subunit of the mTOR (mechanistic target of rapamycin) pathway, which is pivotal in cell growth and metabolism. Given its central role in these biological pathways, FKBP12 has garnered significant interest in both basic and applied research. Scientists have pursued the characterization of FKBP12 through structural biology and recombinant protein techniques to understand its functional mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications. Recombinant FKBP12 protein is extensively utilized in studies investigating protein-protein interactions, drug binding, and the development of novel therapeutic agents. As researchers decipher the intricate functions and mechanisms of FKBP12, this protein continues to illustrate its importance in cell biology and medicine, driving further investigations into its role in health and disease.
