简介
SMNDC1/SPF30 Protein is pivotal in spliceosome assembly, forming associations with spliceosomes, U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP, and U2 snRNP. Its Tudor domain directly interacts with SNRPD3, emphasizing its crucial role in essential interactions within the splicing machinery and contributing to the intricate process of pre-mRNA splicing. SMNDC1/SPF30 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived SMNDC1/SPF30 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SMNDC1 (Survival of Motor Neuron Domain Containing 1) and SPF30 (SPF30 homolog) are proteins that have garnered significant interest in the field of molecular biology due to their roles in RNA processing and cellular stress response. The SMNDC1 gene is closely linked to the biogenesis of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs), which are essential components of spliceosomal machinery, thus playing a vital role in pre-mRNA splicing. Mutations in the SMN gene are associated with spinal muscular atrophy, illustrating the critical function of SMN proteins in motor neuron survival. Conversely, SPF30 has been implicated in DNA repair pathways and cellular response to oxidative stress, suggesting its importance in maintaining genomic stability. Research into the recombinant forms of these proteins aims to elucidate their structural and functional properties, providing insights into their mechanistic roles in cellular processes. Understanding the interactions and pathways involving SMNDC1 and SPF30 may offer novel therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative diseases and improve our comprehension of RNA metabolism and stress responses in cells. The recombinant protein studies could also establish their potential as biomarkers in disease contexts or as tools in biotechnological applications, marking an important step in biochemical research and therapeutic development.
