  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Receptor-interacting protein kinase 2 (RIPK2) is a crucial serine/threonine kinase that plays a pivotal role in mediating various signaling pathways, particularly those involved in innate immunity and inflammation. It is primarily activated by cytosolic pattern recognition receptors such as NOD1 and NOD2, which detect bacterial peptidoglycans. Upon activation, RIPK2 orchestrates downstream signaling cascades that lead to the activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways, ultimately regulating the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and promoting immune responses. Dysregulation of RIPK2 signaling has been implicated in several inflammatory diseases, including Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Consequently, RIPK2 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target in the treatment of these conditions. The production and characterization of recombinant RIPK2 protein are essential for elucidating its biochemical properties, interactions, and functions. This research facilitates a deeper understanding of its role in immune signaling and provides a basis for the development of specific inhibitors aimed at regulating RIPK2 activity. Ongoing studies involve the exploration of RIPK2's structure-function relationships, as well as its interactions with various cellular partners, which could uncover novel mechanisms of action and therapeutic opportunities. Through biochemical assays and structural biology approaches, researchers are striving to enhance our knowledge of RIPK2, paving the way for innovative strategies to manipulate its activity for therapeutic benefit in immune-related disorders.
