Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The H-2K(B) B2M monomer is a vital component in the study of Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) class I molecules, which play a crucial role in the immune response by presenting antigen-derived peptides to CD8+ T cells. Understanding the structure and function of this monomer is essential, as it influences T cell recognition and activation, thereby impacting adaptive immunity. Research has highlighted that defects in MHC class I molecules, such as those represented by H-2K(B), can lead to various autoimmune diseases and infectious disease susceptibility. Additionally, the B2M protein is integral for the stable expression of MHC class I on the cell surface, making its study important for both basic immunology and potential therapeutic applications, such as vaccine development and cancer immunotherapy. By employing advanced biophysical techniques and recombinant DNA technology to produce the H-2K(B) B2M monomer, researchers aim to elucidate its binding properties, stability, and interactions with peptides. This knowledge not only advances our understanding of immune mechanisms but also contributes to the design of novel immunotherapeutic strategies that harness the power of the immune system in combating diseases.
