  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CDK1 (Cyclin-dependent kinase 1) is a critical regulator of the cell cycle, particularly during the transition from G2 phase to mitosis. It forms a complex with cyclin A2 (CCNA2), which is essential for driving cells through these processes. The CDK1-CCNA2 complex phosphorylates various substrates, leading to chromatin condensation, spindle assembly, and other mitotic events. Aberrations in this pathway can result in uncontrolled cell proliferation and are often implicated in cancer progression. Hence, understanding the biochemical properties and regulatory mechanisms of the CDK1-CCNA2 complex is vital for elucidating cell cycle control and its dysregulation in oncogenesis. The recombinant expression of CDK1-CCNA2 allows for in-depth studies of their interactions and functionalities under in vitro settings. By producing this protein complex in a controlled environment, researchers can investigate its structure, enzyme kinetics, and the effects of specific inhibitors or mutations. This information is crucial for the development of targeted therapies aimed at cancers associated with CDK1 dysregulation. Given the homologous nature of some other cyclin-dependent kinases and their cyclins, studies of the CDK1-CCNA2 complex can provide insights that extend to other members of the CDK family, ultimately contributing to a broader understanding of cell cycle regulation and its implications in cancer biology.
