  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CHK1 (Checkpoint Kinase 1) is a pivotal serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a crucial role in the cellular response to DNA damage and the regulation of the cell cycle. Its primary function is to maintain genomic stability by orchestrating the DNA damage response (DDR) pathways, particularly in the S and G2 phases of the cell cycle. Dysregulation of CHK1 has been implicated in various cancers, making it an attractive target for therapeutic interventions. Research into CHK1 recombinant proteins has gained momentum as they can be utilized to better understand its biochemical properties, signaling pathways, and interactions with other cellular proteins. Additionally, CHK1 inhibitors have emerged as promising cancer treatments, particularly in combination with other therapies such as chemotherapy and radiation, with the aim of enhancing the efficacy of these treatments by altering tumor cell responses. The production and characterization of CHK1 recombinant proteins enable scientists to dissect its functional mechanisms, investigate the structural basis for its interactions, and explore potential avenues for drug development. Given the critical role of CHK1 in cancer biology and therapeutic response, ongoing research seeks to elucidate its intricate network of regulation and establish a foundation for the application of CHK1-targeted therapies in clinical settings. This emerging field not only provides insights into cancer pathophysiology but also opens up new opportunities for innovative treatment strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes.
