Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALK-7, or Activin receptor-like kinase 7, is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily, which plays a significant role in various biological processes, including embryonic development, immune responses, and tissue homeostasis. Recent research has focused on its involvement in neurobiology, particularly in relation to pain modulation and neuroinflammation. Studies have shown that ALK-7 is expressed in the central nervous system and is implicated in the development of pain hypersensitivity and other neurological disorders. Its signaling pathway can influence the production of inflammatory cytokines and neuropeptides, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in conditions like chronic pain and neurodegeneration. Furthermore, given its unique expression patterns and functional properties, researchers are exploring the prospects of ALK-7 as a biomarker for certain diseases, as well as its potential in regenerative medicine. The growing interest in ALK-7 research reflects an increasing recognition of the importance of TGF-β superfamily members in complex physiological and pathological processes, paving the way for novel strategies in treating pain and other related disorders.
