简介
The ERVW-1 protein is an endogenous retroviral envelope protein that retains fusogenic properties critical for trophoblast fusion and syncytium formation during placental morphogenesis. Its fusion ability involves binding to SLC1A4 and SLC1A5. ERVW-1 Protein, Human (His-SUMO) is the recombinant human-derived ERVW-1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His, N-SUMO labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ERVW-1 (Endogenous Retrovirus W Family Member 1) is a member of the human endogenous retrovirus (HERV) family, which represents remnants of ancient viral infections in the human genome. Research into ERVW-1 has gained attention due to its potential roles in various biological processes, including immune response modulation and implications in diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders. The expression of ERVW-1 has been shown to be upregulated in various tumors, suggesting a possible involvement in tumorigenesis and providing a target for immunotherapy. Additionally, ERVW-1's ability to trigger innate immune responses makes it a candidate for further investigation in understanding host-pathogen interactions and viral mimicry. As a recombinant protein, ERVW-1 can be produced for functional studies, allowing researchers to elucidate its biological significance and potential therapeutic applications. The exploration of ERVW-1 not only sheds light on the evolutionary history of human defenses against retroviral infections but also offers new insights into its contributions to human health and disease, highlighting the importance of studying endogenous retroviruses in modern biomedical research.
