简介
Klotho beta protein plays a critical role in the transcriptional repression of cholesterol 7-alpha-hydroxylase (CYP7A1), a key enzyme controlling bile acid synthesis. Although its glycosidase activity may be inactive, Klotho beta enhances the binding ability of FGFR1 and FGFR4 to FGF21, promoting their interaction. Klotho beta Protein, Human (968a.a, HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Klotho beta protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Klotho beta, a member of the Klotho family of proteins, has garnered significant interest in recent years due to its potential role in aging, neurodegeneration, and metabolic regulation. Initially discovered for its involvement in phosphate homeostasis and vitamin D metabolism, Klotho has been implicated in various physiological processes, including the regulation of oxidative stress and inflammation. Research indicates that Klotho beta, a secreted form of the protein, possesses unique properties that could modulate signaling pathways linked to longevity and cellular health. Studies have shown that reduced expression of Klotho is associated with age-related diseases, including chronic kidney disease and cognitive decline, prompting investigations into its therapeutic potential. Moreover, Klotho beta has been studied for its neuroprotective effects, with evidence suggesting it may mitigate neuroinflammatory responses and promote neuronal survival. This has led to a growing interest in the development of recombinant Klotho beta as a promising candidate for therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing longevity and treating age-related disorders. As researchers delve deeper into its molecular mechanisms, Klotho beta's multifaceted role in health and disease remains an exciting area of exploration, offering potential insights into innovative treatment strategies for age-associated conditions.
