Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    TrkB

  • 简介

TrkB is a key receptor tyrosine kinase that coordinates multiple neuronal processes in the central and peripheral nervous systems. As a receptor for BDNF and NTF4, it regulates survival through NTF3. TrkB Protein, Rat (HEK293, His, solution) is the recombinant rat-derived TrkB protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TrkB (Tropomyosin receptor kinase B) is a receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which plays a critical role in neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity. Research on TrkB recombinant protein has gained traction due to its implications in neurological disorders, such as depression, Alzheimer's disease, and schizophrenia. The study of TrkB and its signaling pathways is essential for understanding the mechanisms underlying neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration. Recombinant TrkB proteins are utilized in a variety of experimental settings to explore their binding interactions with BDNF and other neurotrophic factors, enabling researchers to dissect the signaling cascades activated upon receptor activation. Additionally, these studies are instrumental in the development of potential therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating TrkB signaling for neuroprotection and cognitive enhancement. Given the increasing prevalence of mental health disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, the investigation of TrkB recombinant proteins represents a significant endeavor in the pursuit of innovative treatment strategies that can promote neuronal health and functional recovery.
