  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

OLFM4 (Olfactomedin 4) is a member of the olfactomedin protein family, which is primarily expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including cellular adhesion, differentiation, and migration. Research has shown that OLFM4 is involved in the regulation of stem cell activity and may influence the differentiation of various cell types, particularly in the context of the gut and immune responses. Elevated levels of OLFM4 have been implicated in several pathological conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer, suggesting its role as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Given its multifunctional nature and significance in both normal physiology and disease states, the study of OLFM4 recombinant protein has gained attention. This research aims to elucidate its structural and functional properties, enabling a deeper understanding of its mechanisms of action and potential applications in clinical settings. By exploring the recombinant expression of OLFM4, researchers seek to investigate its interactions with other proteins and its impact on cell signaling pathways, with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies for related diseases. The ongoing studies on OLFM4 thus represent a promising avenue in cancer research, regenerative medicine, and the broader field of molecular biology, highlighting the importance of this protein in health and disease.
