Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CLK2, or Clock Homolog 2, is a protein that plays a critical role in regulating circadian rhythms, which are the biological processes that follow a roughly 24-hour cycle, influencing various physiological processes such as sleep-wake patterns, hormone release, and metabolic functions. Research into CLK2 has gained traction due to its involvement in fundamental biological processes and its potential implications in various health conditions. Alterations in circadian rhythm have been linked to disorders such as depression, sleep disorders, obesity, and even cancer. The study of CLK2, particularly its recombinant forms, has emerged as a promising avenue for understanding how disruptions in circadian regulation can impact human health. By exploring the molecular mechanisms and functional properties of CLK2, researchers aim to elucidate its role in the circadian clock and its effects on gene expression and cellular processes. Recombinant CLK2 proteins can be used in various experimental setups to investigate drug interactions, gene expression regulation, and cellular signaling pathways. This research not only enhances knowledge of circadian biology but also has potential therapeutic implications, providing insights for developing strategies to mitigate circadian-related disorders and enhance overall health. The exploration of CLK2 remains pivotal in both basic and applied biological research, highlighting its importance in the intersection of chronobiology and health sciences.
