简介
The procollagen alpha 1/COL1A1 protein is an important type I collagen component and forms a trimeric structure with alpha 2(I) and two alpha 1(I) chains. It interacts with MRC2, associates with MFAP4 in a Ca2+-dependent manner, and interacts with TRAM2. COL1A1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived COL1A1 protein, expressed by HEK293, with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COL1A1, or Collagen Type I Alpha 1 Chain, is a key component of collagen, the most abundant protein in the human body, crucial for the structural integrity of various tissues, including bones, skin, and tendons. Alterations in COL1A1 expression and function have been linked to several pathological conditions, such as Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease), fibrosis, and various tumorigenic processes. Researchers have increasingly focused on the recombinant production of COL1A1 to better understand its biological functions and develop therapeutic applications. The recombinant protein can be engineered to produce various isoforms, allowing for the study of specific structural and functional aspects of collagen. Furthermore, recombinant COL1A1 can be utilized in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, where it serves as an essential scaffold for cell attachment and growth. By studying the properties and behaviors of this protein, scientists aim to advance knowledge in developmental biology, improve biomaterials for clinical applications, and find novel treatments for collagen-related diseases. Overall, research on COL1A1 recombinant protein represents a crucial intersection between molecular biology and clinical application, with significant implications for enhancing human health and managing connective tissue disorders.
