CDK6-CCND1 Heterodimer

简介
The CDK6ic complex is an important serine/threonine protein kinase that regulates cell cycle progression and differentiation, promoting the G1/S transition by phosphorylating substrates such as pRB/RB1 and NPM1. It interacts with D-type G1 cyclins during interphase to form active pRB/RB1 kinase, which controls cell cycle entry. CDK6-CCND1 Heterodimer Protein, Human (sf9) is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing human-derived CDK6-CCND1 Heterodimer protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with tag free.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The CDK6-CCND1 heterodimer plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, particularly in driving the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase. Cyclin D1 (CCND1) activates Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 6 (CDK6), leading to the phosphorylation of key substrates that promote cell proliferation. Dysregulation of this pathway is commonly associated with various cancers, particularly in hematological malignancies and solid tumors, where aberrant activity of CDK6 and cyclin D1 is observed. Research has increasingly focused on targeting the CDK6-CCND1 complex to inhibit tumor growth and proliferation. The generation of recombinant proteins for the CDK6-CCND1 heterodimer facilitates detailed structural and functional studies, allowing for a deeper understanding of its mechanistic role in oncogenesis. Moreover, these recombinant proteins can be leveraged to develop novel therapeutics that specifically disrupt the activity of this complex, thereby providing potential treatments for cancer patients with CDK6 and CCND1 overexpression. Thus, studying the CDK6-CCND1 heterodimer not only enhances our understanding of cell cycle regulation but also opens new avenues for targeted cancer therapies.
