  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

NTN1 (Netrin-1) is a crucial guidance cue that plays a significant role in the development of the nervous system by influencing neuronal cell migration, axon guidance, and synaptic formation. It was initially recognized for its important functions in the central nervous system, where it facilitates the attraction and repulsion of growth cones through interactions with specific receptors, such as Deleted in Colorectal Cancer (DCC) and the Unc5 family. Beyond its classical roles in neurodevelopment, NTN1 has been implicated in various physiological and pathological processes, including the modulation of pain, cancer metastasis, and the maintenance of neuronal survival. Recent studies have demonstrated that NTN1 can influence cellular signaling pathways, thus affecting cellular responses in a range of contexts. The research surrounding NTN1 is expanding, with recombinant NTN1 proteins being produced for experimental use to explore their mechanisms of action, therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative diseases, and roles in cancer biology. Investigating the structure, function, and interactions of NTN1 is crucial for understanding its diverse biological roles and developing targeted therapies. The recombinant protein allows researchers to dissect the precise molecular interactions involved in NTN1 signaling and to evaluate its potential applications in regenerative medicine and cancer therapy, making it a focal point in current biomedical research.
