简介
The UbcH6/UBE2E1 protein is an important ubiquitination component that acts as an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme, accepting ubiquitin in the E1 complex and catalyzing its covalent attachment to proteins. It is versatile and also facilitates covalent attachment of ISG15, playing a role in a variety of ubiquitin-like modifications. UbcH6/UBE2E1 Protein, Human (sf9, His, Strep) is the recombinant human-derived UbcH6/UBE2E1 protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with N-Strep, N-8*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UbcH6, also known as UBE2E1, is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family that plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, responsible for protein degradation and various cellular regulatory processes. The ubiquitylation process, mediated by UbcH6, involves the attachment of ubiquitin molecules to target proteins, which can signal for their degradation, alter their cellular location, or modify their activity. Research on UbcH6 has gained significant attention due to its involvement in various biological pathways linked to cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, and responses to stress. Consequently, dysregulation of UbcH6 expression or activity has been implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. The study of recombinant UbcH6/UBE2E1 aims to provide insights into its structural and functional characteristics, facilitating a deeper understanding of its role in ubiquitination and potential therapeutic applications. By expression and purification of the recombinant protein, researchers can investigate its enzyme kinetics, substrate specificity, and interactions with other proteins, contributing to the broader understanding of the ubiquitin-proteasome system's role in cellular homeostasis and disease pathology.
