Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HK3, or Hexokinase-3, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in glucose metabolism by phosphorylating glucose to form glucose-6-phosphate, a key step in both glycolysis and cellular energy production. The study of HK3 is particularly significant due to its implications in various physiological and pathological processes, including cancer metabolism, diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases. Unlike other isoforms of hexokinase, HK3 is less understood but appears to exhibit unique regulatory mechanisms and tissue distribution, prompting interest in its potential as a therapeutic target. Research into the recombinant expression of HK3 aims to provide insight into its structure-function relationship, regulatory pathways, and interaction with other metabolic enzymes. By producing HK3 as a recombinant protein, scientists can conduct detailed biochemical studies, structural analyses, and drug screening assays to develop targeted therapies. Understanding HK3's role in metabolic pathways could lead to novel approaches for managing metabolic disorders and enhancing cellular energy efficiency. The ongoing exploration of HK3 not only enriches our knowledge of cellular metabolism but also opens avenues for innovative treatments in metabolic diseases.
