Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    Copine-1/CPNE1

  • 简介

Copine-1/CPNE1 protein is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein that participates in the TNF-α receptor signaling pathway in a calcium-dependent manner. CPNE1 induces AKT-dependent neurite outgrowth and is also involved in TNF-α-induced repression of NF-κ-B transcription. Copine-1/CPNE1 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived Copine-1/CPNE1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His, C-6*His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Copine-1 (CPNE1) is a member of the copine family of proteins, which are characterized by their C2 and von Willebrand factor A domains, playing significant roles in cellular processes such as signal transduction, cytoskeletal organization, and membrane trafficking. Aberrant expression of CPNE1 has been linked to various pathological conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, highlighting its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. Recent studies have demonstrated that CPNE1 interacts with calcium ions, suggesting its involvement in calcium-mediated signaling pathways. The reconstitution of CPNE1 as a recombinant protein allows for detailed structural and functional analyses, providing insights into its biological roles and mechanisms of action. This includes exploring its interactions with other cellular components, elucidating its regulatory functions in cellular signaling, and assessing its impact on cell proliferation and apoptosis. Understanding the dynamics of CPNE1 through recombinant protein studies not only enriches our knowledge of its physiological relevance but also sets the stage for potential clinical applications, including the development of CPNE1-based therapeutics or diagnostic tools in diseases where CPNE1 dysregulation is implicated.
