Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CK2 alpha, also known as CSNK2A2, is a catalytic subunit of the serine/threonine protein kinase CK2, which plays a pivotal role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, survival, and differentiation. The irregular expression and hyperactivity of CK2 have been implicated in multiple pathologies, notably cancer, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention. The kinase operates through a complex regulatory mechanism, involving both substrate recognition and interaction with different cellular partners. Additionally, CK2 alpha has been found to phosphorylate a wide range of substrates, influencing their activity, stability, and localization. Research on recombinant CK2 alpha/CSNK2A2 proteins enables scientists to dissect the biochemical pathways regulated by CK2, explore its functional interactions, and evaluate potential small-molecule inhibitors. The ability to produce and study recombinant CK2 alpha is essential for understanding its structure-function relationship and uncovering its role in health and disease. By elucidating these aspects, researchers aim to develop targeted therapies that can modulate CK2 activity, potentially leading to innovative treatments for CK2-related disorders.
