Gene name
GSTA1

简介
The GSTA1 protein catalyzes the attack of glutathione on various compounds, forming conjugates of PGA2 and PGJ2. It also converts AD into D4-androstene-3,17-dione, contributing to hormone biosynthesis. Additionally, it participates in the metabolism of oxidized linoleic acid through its peroxidase activity against 13-HPODE. GSTA1 Protein, Human (HEK293, C-His) is the recombinant human-derived GSTA1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GSTA1, or glutathione S-transferase A1, is an important enzyme belonging to the GST family that plays a crucial role in detoxifying harmful compounds by catalyzing the conjugation of glutathione to various electrophiles. It is implicated in the metabolism of xenobiotics, drug resistance, and oxidative stress responses. The study of GSTA1 has gained significance due to its involvement in various diseases, including cancer, where its overexpression may contribute to chemotherapy resistance. Additionally, its polymorphisms have been associated with differing susceptibility to toxins and drug efficacy among individuals. Research on recombinant GSTA1 proteins facilitates the understanding of its structure-function relationships, enzymatic mechanisms, and interactions with substrates. Furthermore, the production of functional recombinant GSTA1 protein allows scientists to explore innovative therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating GST activities in disease contexts. With advanced biotechnological methods, researchers seek to uncover the potential of GSTA1 as a biomarker for disease prognosis and as a target for novel drug designs, enhancing treatment outcomes by overcoming resistance mechanisms in patients. The comprehensive investigation of recombinant GSTA1 can contribute significantly to pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine, paving the way for tailored therapies based on individual metabolic profiles. This background underscores the relevance of GSTA1 research in both basic and applied biomedical sciences, highlighting its potential to improve therapeutic interventions and patient care.
