  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GFRA3 (GDNF family receptor alpha 3) is a member of the GDNF (glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) receptor family, playing a crucial role in neuronal development and survival. It primarily interacts with GDNF, a potent neurotrophic factor, to facilitate the survival of specific neuronal populations and support the development of the peripheral nervous system. Research into GFRA3 is driven by its potential therapeutic implications, especially in neurodegenerative diseases and conditions characterized by neuronal loss. Understanding the molecular mechanisms by which GFRA3 mediates its effects can lead to novel strategies in neuroprotection and regeneration. Furthermore, GFRA3 has been implicated in various physiological processes, including kidney and reproductive system functions, making it a focal point in both neuroscience and developmental biology. The study of GFRA3/GDNF-alpha-3 recombinant proteins aims to elucidate their structure-function relationships, optimize therapeutic applications, and investigate their roles in disease contexts. By generating and characterizing GFRA3 recombinant proteins, researchers can unlock new avenues for treatment and enhance the understanding of neurotrophic signaling pathways, paving the way for innovative interventions in neuroprotection and tissue regeneration.
