简介
The TNKS1 protein is a polyADP-ribosyltransferase that is integral to multiple cellular processes, including the Wnt signaling pathway, telomere length regulation, and vesicle trafficking. In Wnt signaling, TNKS1 activates this pathway by poly-ADP-ribosylating AXIN1 and AXIN2, promoting their degradation. TNKS1 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived TNKS1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TNKS1, or Tankyrase 1, is a member of the PARP (Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase) family of proteins, primarily involved in the regulation of cellular processes such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, and telomere maintenance. It plays a crucial role in the Wnt signaling pathway by modulating β-catenin levels, thereby influencing oncogenic signaling pathways that are often dysregulated in various cancers. Given the significant impact of TNKS1 on tumorigenesis, it has emerged as a potential therapeutic target, prompting extensive research into the development of TNKS1 inhibitors. The study of recombinant TNKS1 protein allows researchers to explore its biochemical properties, interaction with various substrates, and regulatory mechanisms in detail. Furthermore, the production of recombinant TNKS1 facilitates the high-throughput screening of small molecule inhibitors, which could lead to novel cancer treatments. Understanding the structure-function relationship of TNKS1 through structural biology techniques can reveal insights into its active sites and binding mechanisms, paving the way for the design of more effective drugs. Additionally, investigating TNKS1's role beyond cancer, such as in aging and other diseases, highlights its versatility and potential as a multi-faceted therapeutic target. As a result, TNKS1 recombinant protein research not only contributes to the foundational knowledge of cell biology and cancer mechanisms but also opens avenues for innovative pharmacological interventions.
