  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GFRA1 (GDNF Family Receptor Alpha 1) is a pivotal receptor involved in the signaling pathway of glial cell-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), which plays a crucial role in the survival and differentiation of various neuronal populations. The GFRA1 protein is known to mediate the actions of GDNF, influencing neuronal growth and maintenance, as well as playing significant roles in kidney development and spermatogenesis. Given its importance in neurobiology and potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases, understanding GFRA1's structure and function is essential for developing therapeutic interventions. The recombinant GFRA1 protein has been produced to facilitate detailed studies on its biochemical properties, receptor-ligand interactions, and signaling mechanisms. Through structural analyses and functional assays, researchers aim to elucidate the role of GFRA1 in neurogenesis and its therapeutic potential in conditions such as Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. By harnessing recombinant technology, scientists can better explore GFRA1’s interaction with GDNF and other molecular partners, laying the groundwork for potential drug designs that target this signaling axis to promote neuronal survival and regeneration.
