简介
MFAP4 Protein participates in calcium-dependent cell adhesion or intercellular interactions and may contribute to elastic fiber assembly and maintenance. It forms homodimers and higher oligomers, interacting with FBN1, FBN2, LOX, COL1A1, and ELN in a calcium-dependent manner, promoting ELN self-assembly. MFAP4 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His-Flag) is the recombinant mouse-derived MFAP4 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-His, N-Flag labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MFAP4 (Microfibril-associated protein 4) is a protein that plays a significant role in the extracellular matrix, particularly in the formation and stabilization of elastic fibers. Its involvement in various biological processes, such as tissue repair and cardiovascular health, has garnered increasing interest in recent years. MFAP4 is believed to interact with other proteins within the extracellular matrix, contributing to cellular adhesion and the structural integrity of tissues. Abnormal expression or mutation of MFAP4 has been linked to several pathological conditions, including cardiovascular diseases and age-related degeneration, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for these disorders. Research on recombinant MFAP4 has focused on understanding its molecular mechanisms, interactions with other matrix proteins, and its role in disease progression. By producing this protein recombinantly, scientists can conduct detailed studies on its structure-function relationship and potential therapeutic applications. Furthermore, recombinant MFAP4 serves as a valuable tool for exploring the dynamics of extracellular matrix organization and its implications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. As studies continue to unfold, MFAP4 may emerge as a promising candidate for novel diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in related diseases, paving the way for advancements in the field of molecular medicine.
