Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    IKKβ

  • 简介

IKKβ protein is a serine kinase that is critical in the NF-kappa-B signaling pathway and can respond to various stimuli such as cytokines or cellular stress. As part of the classical IKK complex, IKKβ activates NF-kappa-B through phosphorylation inhibitors, leading to its degradation and release of NF-kappa-B for gene transcription. IKKβ Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived IKKβ protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with N-GST labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

IKKβ (Inhibitor of Nuclear Factor Kappa-B Kinase Subunit Beta) is a crucial enzyme in the NF-κB signaling pathway, which plays a significant role in regulating immune responses, inflammation, cell survival, and proliferation. The pathway is activated by various stimuli, including cytokines and stress signals, leading to the phosphorylation and degradation of IκB proteins, which subsequently releases NF-κB dimers to translocate into the nucleus and regulate gene expression. Dysregulation of IKKβ and the NF-κB pathway has been implicated in several diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammatory conditions. Therefore, understanding the structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms of IKKβ is vital for developing targeted therapies. Research on IKKβ recombinant proteins has focused on elucidating its enzymatic activity, interaction with regulatory subunits, and its role in the cellular context. Additionally, the generation of recombinant IKKβ allows for the exploration of specific inhibitors that could modulate its activity, providing a potential strategy for therapeutic interventions. As cancer therapies and anti-inflammatory drugs are increasingly exploring targeted approaches, IKKβ represents a promising candidate for such developments, making it a key protein of interest in both basic and translational research poised to enhance our understanding of related pathologies and therapeutic strategies.
