简介
Grancalcin/GCA protein is a calcium-binding protein that plays a potential role in neutrophil adhesion to fibronectin and focal adhesion formation. As a homodimer, this protein exhibits interactions with SRI and LCP1, suggesting its involvement in molecular pathways related to cell adhesion and cytoskeletal dynamics.Grancalcin/GCA Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived Grancalcin/GCA protein, expressed by E.coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Grancalcin, also known as GCA, is a calcium-binding protein that belongs to the S100 family. It is primarily expressed in myeloid cells, such as neutrophils and monocytes, and plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including signal transduction, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in immune responses and inflammation. The overexpression of Grancalcin has been linked to several pathological conditions, including cancer and autoimmune diseases, making it a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Research on recombinant Grancalcin (GCA) protein has gained momentum, as it provides a basis for understanding its functional roles in cellular biology. The production of recombinant GCA allows for functional assays and structural analyses, facilitating the exploration of its calcium-binding properties and interactions with other biomolecules. Furthermore, this research can contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies by leveraging Grancalcin's regulatory effects on immune cells, potentially leading to innovative treatments for inflammatory and oncological diseases. Overall, recombinant Grancalcin represents a valuable tool for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying its functions and its implications in health and disease.
