Gene name
EGR1/ZNF225

简介
The EGR1/ZNF225 protein is a multifunctional transcriptional regulator that binds to the EGR site in the promoter of target genes and is independent of cytosine methylation. It controls the transcription of multiple target genes, affecting responses to growth factors, DNA damage, and ischemia. EGR1/ZNF225 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived EGR1/ZNF225 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EGR1 (Early Growth Response 1) and ZNF225 (Zinc Finger Protein 225) are both transcription factors implicated in various biological processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and responses to stress. EGR1 is known for its role in immediate early gene expression, acting as a crucial regulator in neuronal development and synaptic plasticity. Its dysregulation has been linked to a variety of conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. ZNF225, on the other hand, functions primarily in the regulation of gene expression through its zinc finger motifs, which facilitate the binding to DNA. The study of recombinant proteins of EGR1 and ZNF225 aims to explore their functional roles, molecular interactions, and regulatory mechanisms in cellular pathways. By expressing and purifying these proteins, researchers can conduct various biochemical assays to investigate their potential as targets for therapeutic interventions or as biomarkers for disease states. The recombinant approach also allows for the assessment of post-translational modifications and protein stability, which are critical for their functional activity. Understanding the interplay between EGR1 and ZNF225 may provide insights into their cooperative roles in transcriptional regulation and their implications in health and disease. This research holds promise for developing innovative strategies for managing diseases associated with their aberrant expression.
