Gene name
PLGF-3

简介
The PLGF-2 protein is a key growth factor for angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, crucially stimulating cell proliferation and migration by binding to the FLT1/VEGFR-1 receptor. It coordinates the angiogenic process, regulates blood vessel growth, and exhibits additional binding capabilities to NRP1/neuropilin-1 and NRP2/neuropilin-2. PLGF-3 Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant human-derived PLGF-3 protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-Fc labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The research on recombinant placental growth factor-3 (PLGF-3) has gained significance due to its crucial role in angiogenesis and its potential implications in various pathological conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and pregnancy-related disorders. PLGF is a member of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family and primarily influences the formation of new blood vessels. While PLGF-1 and PLGF-2 have been extensively studied, PLGF-3, the less characterized isoform, presents unique biological properties that warrant investigation. Preliminary studies suggest that PLGF-3 may exhibit differential effects on endothelial cell function and may regulate inflammation and immune responses. Moreover, its expression is found to be modulated in certain diseases, indicating its possible role as a biomarker or therapeutic target. As researchers explore the molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways associated with PLGF-3, recombinant forms of this protein are being developed to assess their effects in preclinical models. Understanding PLGF-3's specific functions could lead to novel insights in treating diseases characterized by pathological angiogenesis and impaired vascular function. Thus, the ongoing research aims to elucidate the therapeutic potential of PLGF-3, enhancing our overall understanding of its role in health and disease.
