Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 2 (IGFBP2) has garnered significant attention in biomedical research due to its pivotal role in modulating insulin-like growth factor (IGF) activity, which is crucial for cell growth, development, and metabolism. IGFBP2 acts by binding to IGFs, thereby extending their half-life and regulating their bioavailability, a mechanism that is vital for both normal physiological processes and various pathological conditions. Elevated levels of IGFBP2 have been associated with several malignancies, including breast and colorectal cancers, where it may facilitate tumor progression and metastasis. Additionally, IGFBP2 is implicated in metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes, given its influence on insulin signaling pathways. The production of recombinant IGFBP2 has enabled researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, affinities, and mechanisms of action in detail, providing insights into its role in cancer biology and metabolic regulation. Understanding the functions of IGFBP2 at the molecular level may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting the IGF signaling pathway. As such, investigations into recombinant IGFBP2 are not only fundamental for elucidating its biological functions but also hold potential for clinical applications in cancer therapy and metabolic disease management.
