  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PDGFA (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor A) is a crucial growth factor that plays a significant role in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, survival, and migration, as well as tissue repair and development. Initially identified for its involvement in platelet granules, PDGFA exerts its functions primarily through binding to its receptor, PDGFR-α, influencing a wide range of cellular responses. Research on PDGFA has gained momentum due to its implications in several pathological conditions, such as fibrotic diseases, cancer, and vascular abnormalities. The recombinant production of PDGFA has facilitated the detailed study of its biological activities and mechanisms of action, enabling scientists to explore its potential therapeutic applications. Utilizing recombinant DNA technology, PDGFA can be produced in large quantities and with high purity, allowing for in-depth analyses of its properties and interactions with receptors. Understanding the structure-function relationship of PDGFA is pivotal for designing targeted therapies, particularly in oncology and regenerative medicine. Furthermore, the recombinant protein serves as a valuable tool for investigating the signaling pathways activated by PDGFA and its role in tumor microenvironment interactions. As such, ongoing research endeavors aim to elucidate the multifaceted roles of PDGFA and leverage its properties for novel therapeutic strategies.
