简介
RIZ1 Protein, an S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent histone methyltransferase, specifically methylates 'Lys-9' of histone H3. Additionally, it acts as a DNA-binding transcription factor, showing affinity for the MTE within the HMOX1 gene. Implicated as a potential activator, RIZ1 suggests a regulatory role in HMOX1 gene expression beyond histone modification. RIZ1 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived RIZ1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RIZ1, or Retinoblastoma-interacting Zinc Finger protein 1, is a member of the PRDM family of proteins that has garnered attention for its role in epigenetic regulation and tumor suppression. Research indicates that RIZ1 functions as a transcriptional regulator by promoting the expression of key genes involved in cell differentiation and growth inhibition. Its zinc finger domains facilitate binding to specific DNA sequences, underpinning its regulatory functions. Studies have shown that RIZ1 is frequently downregulated or lost in various malignancies, suggesting its critical role in preventing oncogenesis. The reintroduction of RIZ1 into cancer cell lines has demonstrated a capacity to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Furthermore, investigations into RIZ1's interplay with other tumor suppressors and oncogenes are revealing intricate networks of signaling pathways impacting cancer development. The recombinant expression of RIZ1 protein in vitro allows for detailed studies of its biochemical properties and functional mechanisms, which can facilitate the development of innovative cancer therapies. Understanding the molecular dynamics of RIZ1 offers promising avenues for harnessing its anti-cancer properties, making it a significant subject of research in oncology and molecular biology.
