简介
The eIF3K protein is an important component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex and plays a crucial role in various steps of protein synthesis initiation. It stimulates recruitment of mRNA to the 43S preinitiation complex (43S PIC) and promotes AUG recognition scanning.EIF3K Protein, Human (sf9, His-GST) is the recombinant human-derived EIF3K protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His, N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EIF3K, a critical component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF3) complex, plays a pivotal role in the regulation of protein synthesis by facilitating the assembly of the translation initiation machinery. This protein has garnered considerable attention in recent years due to its involvement in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and response to stress. Dysregulation of EIF3K has been implicated in several types of cancer and other diseases, making it a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Furthermore, studies have demonstrated that EIF3K can influence the translation of specific mRNAs, thereby affecting the expression of proteins linked to tumorigenesis and apoptosis. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying EIF3K function is essential for elucidating its role in both normal physiology and disease states. The production of recombinant EIF3K protein provides a valuable tool for biochemical and structural studies, enabling researchers to investigate its interactions with other components of the translation machinery and identify potential regulatory pathways. Given the complexity of translation initiation and its regulation, the characterization of EIF3K will not only enhance our understanding of ribosome assembly and function but also pave the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting translation in cancer and other diseases. Overall, the study of recombinant EIF3K protein represents a promising frontier in molecular biology, with implications for both basic research and clinical applications.
