  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SMAD2 is a critical intracellular mediator of the TGF-β (Transforming Growth Factor-beta) signaling pathway, which plays vital roles in a variety of cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of this pathway has been implicated in various diseases, particularly cancer and fibrosis. Given its significant functional roles, the study of SMAD2 and its interactions with other proteins is crucial for understanding not only normal physiological functions but also pathological conditions. Recombinant SMAD2 proteins are synthesized for a variety of experimental applications, including structural studies, functional assays, and therapeutic development. These recombinant proteins allow researchers to investigate the mechanistic aspects of SMAD2 signaling, assess the effects of post-translational modifications, and explore potential therapeutic interventions that can modulate this pathway. Moreover, the ability to produce and manipulate SMAD2 in vitro enhances our understanding of its role in cellular context and facilitates the development of targeted therapies aimed at diseases associated with TGF-β signaling dysregulation.
