简介
The IRF5 protein is a key transcription factor in innate immunity and activates type I interferon (IFN) and inflammatory cytokine genes through endolysosomal Toll-like receptors (TLR7, TLR8, TLR9). It regulates IFN genes and IFN-stimulated genes (ISGs) by binding to ISREs in their promoters. IRF5 Protein, Human (His, solution) is the recombinant human-derived IRF5 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IRF5 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 5) is a member of the IRF family of transcription factors, pivotal in the regulation of immune responses, particularly in the context of viral infections and autoimmune diseases. Its role in the activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines makes it a critical player in the immune system, with dysregulation of IRF5 linked to conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus and other autoimmune disorders. The study of recombinant IRF5 protein is significant for understanding its structure-function relationship and mechanisms of action. Recombinant protein expression allows for the production of IRF5 in various systems, facilitating functional assays and potential therapeutic developments. Understanding IRF5’s interactions with other immune molecules and its downstream signaling pathways can reveal novel targets for drug development and therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating immune responses. Furthermore, studying its post-translational modifications and their impact on its activity can provide insights into the regulation of immune responses in health and disease. Researchers are particularly interested in the therapeutic implications of manipulating IRF5 activity, which could lead to new approaches for treating autoimmune diseases and enhancing antiviral responses. Thus, the recombinant IRF5 protein serves as a valuable tool for both basic research and clinical applications in immunology.
