Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BIRC8, also known as inhibitor of apoptosis protein 8 (IAP8), is a member of the BIRC family that plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis and cellular survival. This protein functions by inhibiting caspases, which are essential enzymes involved in the execution of apoptosis, thereby promoting cell survival under stressful conditions. The dysregulation of BIRC8 has been implicated in various diseases, particularly in cancer, where it can contribute to tumorigenesis and resistance to therapy by allowing cancer cells to evade apoptosis. Given its significant role in cellular pathways, BIRC8 has become a target for therapeutic intervention, with researchers exploring its potential as a biomarker for cancer prognosis and as a target for drug development. Understanding the structural characteristics and functional mechanisms of BIRC8, particularly through studies involving recombinant protein, can provide insights into its activity and role in diseases. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production and purification of BIRC8, allowing for detailed characterization studies and the exploration of its interactions with other cellular proteins. This research not only enhances our understanding of BIRC8 but also paves the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity in pathological conditions.
