简介
Chitinase-like protein 3/YM1, functioning as a lectin, demonstrates a strong affinity for saccharides containing free amino groups, particularly oligomeric saccharides. It binds to chitin and heparin, displaying weak hexosaminidase activity without chitinase activity. Notably, the protein exhibits chemotactic activity for T-lymphocytes, bone marrow cells, and eosinophils, indicating potential roles in inflammation and allergies. Chitinase-like protein 3/YM1 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Chitinase-like protein 3/YM1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Chitinase-like protein 3 (CLP-3), also known as YM1, is a member of the chitinase family of proteins that lacks significant chitinase activity but is involved in various biological processes, particularly in the context of immune responses and tissue remodeling. Originally identified as an important marker in alternatively activated macrophages, CLP-3 is associated with Th2-mediated responses and plays a critical role in allergic reactions and parasitic infections. The expression of CLP-3 is typically upregulated in tissues affected by inflammation and is believed to contribute to the modulation of immune responses and regulation of extracellular matrix components. Research on recombinant CLP-3 has gained significance for its potential therapeutic applications, including its use as a biomarker for allergic diseases and as a target for drug development aimed at modulating immune responses. The study of recombinant YM1 has also provided insights into its structural and functional properties, paving the way for exploring its role in host-pathogen interactions and tissue repair mechanisms. Its unique characteristics make CLP-3 an intriguing subject for further research in immunology and related fields, highlighting its potential as a novel target in the treatment of various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
