Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RAD51 is a crucial protein involved in the homologous recombination repair pathway, playing a vital role in maintaining genomic stability by facilitating the repair of DNA double-strand breaks. Its function is essential for proper cellular responses to DNA damage, which can arise from various sources, including replication errors, ionizing radiation, and certain chemicals. Research on RAD51 has garnered significant attention due to its implications in cancer biology; abnormalities in RAD51 expression or function can lead to increased genomic instability, contributing to tumorigenesis. Furthermore, RAD51 is a key player in the development of resistance to DNA-damaging chemotherapeutic agents, making it a target of interest for enhancing cancer treatment efficacy. Studies have explored the regulation of RAD51 expression, its mechanistic role in recombination processes, and its interactions with other repair proteins. Moreover, insights into RAD51's structure and function have paved the way for the development of small-molecule inhibitors aimed at targeting cancer cells' reliance on homologous recombination. As such, RAD51 serves not only as a critical component of DNA repair mechanisms but also as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in cancer treatment, making it an ongoing focus of extensive research in molecular biology and oncology.
