简介
Pepsinogen A4/PGA4 protein, known for broad substrate specificity, prefers cleaving phenylalanine and leucine bonds but also shows the ability to cleave various other bonds to varying extents. Pepsinogen A4/PGA4 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Pepsinogen A4/PGA4 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Pepsinogen A4 (PGA4) is a precursor of pepsin, an essential enzyme involved in the digestion of proteins in the stomach. As part of the pepsinogen family, PGA4 is synthesized by the gastric mucosa and activated into pepsin in the acidic environment of the stomach. Research has shown that PGA4 exhibits unique biochemical properties compared to other pepsinogen isoforms, making it a subject of interest in both basic and applied sciences. Understanding the structure-function relationship of PGA4 can provide insights into its role in digestive physiology, as well as its implications in various gastrointestinal disorders, such as peptic ulcers and gastritis. Furthermore, the recombinant production of PGA4 allows for detailed study of its enzymatic activity, stability, and interaction with other biomolecules. This has potential applications in food industry processes, where pepsin is employed for protein hydrolysis, as well as in pharmaceutical developments targeting digestive health. Given its biological significance and potential industrial applications, research on recombinant PGA4 is gaining traction, aiming to elucidate its regulatory mechanisms and therapeutic potentials.
