Gene name
p67phox
-
简介
p67phox is central to the activation of NADPH oxidase, which is critical for superoxide production. p67phox forms heterodimers with CYBA and CYBB and interacts with NCF4 and NCF1 to establish important connections within the complex. p67phox Protein, Human (sf9, His-GST) is the recombinant human-derived p67phox protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His, N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
p67phox is a critical component of the NADPH oxidase complex, which plays a vital role in the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in phagocytic cells, thereby contributing to the immune response against pathogens. The research on recombinant p67phox protein has gained prominence due to its involvement in various physiological processes and its implications in several diseases, including chronic granulomatous disease and cardiovascular disorders. Recombinant p67phox is often produced using techniques such as bacterial or yeast expression systems to facilitate the study of its structure-function relationships and interactions with other components of the NADPH oxidase complex. Understanding the mechanisms underlying ROS production via the p67phox-dependent pathway not only sheds light on innate immune functions but also presents opportunities for therapeutic interventions by targeting oxidative stress-related diseases. Furthermore, the characterization of recombinant p67phox offers insights into post-translational modifications and regulatory mechanisms, which are crucial for its activity and stability. As research continues, recombinant p67phox serves as a valuable tool for elucidating the intricate pathways of ROS signaling and developing strategies to modulate these processes in various pathological contexts.
