  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Tubulin beta is a crucial component of the cytoskeleton in eukaryotic cells, playing a pivotal role in microtubule formation and stability, which are essential for various cellular functions, including mitosis, intracellular transport, and cell shape maintenance. Research on recombinant tubulin beta proteins has gained significant traction due to their potential applications in understanding cytoskeletal dynamics and drug development. Microtubules, composed of alpha and beta tubulin heterodimers, are dynamic structures that undergo rapid polymerization and depolymerization, a process regulated by various cellular factors. The recombinant expression of tubulin beta allows for in-depth studies into its biophysical properties, interactions with microtubule-associated proteins, and response to anti-cancer drugs targeting microtubule stability, such as taxanes and vinca alkaloids. Moreover, the ability to manipulate and analyze these proteins in vitro facilitates the elucidation of the molecular mechanisms underpinning cell division and the implications of tubulin mutations linked to diseases. As such, the study of recombinant tubulin beta protein not only enhances our understanding of fundamental biological processes but also aids in the development of therapeutic strategies for cancer and other diseases characterized by dysregulated cell proliferation.
