Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    REG-3 gamma/REG3G

  • 简介

REG-3 gamma/REG3G protein is a bactericidal C-type lectin that specifically targets Gram-positive bacteria by binding to the peptidoglycan surface moiety, mediating bacterial killing. It limits bacterial colonization of intestinal epithelial surfaces and limits microbiota-induced adaptive immune responses. REG-3 gamma/REG3G Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived REG-3 gamma/REG3G protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

  • Customization

Site-directed mutagenesis Custom tag design Custom buffer formulation Custom full-length protein production

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

RHEB (Ras homolog enriched in brain) is a small GTPase that plays a critical role in the regulation of the mTOR (mechanistic target of rapamycin) signaling pathway, which is pivotal for cellular growth, proliferation, and survival. Research has shown that RHEB is involved in various physiological processes, including the regulation of metabolism, autophagy, and neuronal function, making it a significant protein for understanding cellular signaling mechanisms. Dysregulation of RHEB has been implicated in several diseases, including cancer, neurodevelopmental disorders, and metabolic diseases, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Recombinant RHEB protein studies are essential for elucidating its structural and functional properties, enabling scientists to dissect its interaction with mTOR and other signaling molecules. The production of RHEB as a recombinant protein allows for in vitro assays, providing insights into its GTP-bound active form versus its inactive GDP-bound state. These studies contribute to our understanding of how RHEB influences mTOR activation and downstream signaling pathways, which can lead to drug discovery efforts aimed at modulating these pathways in disease contexts. As research continues to delve into the complexities of RHEB function and its broader implications in health and disease, recombinant RHEB protein serves as a fundamental tool in molecular biology and therapeutic development.
