  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

BMP8A, or Bone Morphogenetic Protein 8A, is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily, known for its critical role in various biological processes such as bone and cartilage development, tissue repair, and cellular differentiation. Research on BMP8A has gained prominence due to its involvement in metabolic regulation and potential implications in obesity and energy homeostasis. Studies have shown that BMP8A can influence brown adipose tissue (BAT) development and function, which plays a significant role in thermogenesis and energy expenditure. The recombinant protein version of BMP8A is increasingly being utilized in experimental settings to better understand its signaling pathways, interactions with other proteins, and overall physiological effects. Investigating the recombinant BMP8A can provide insights into its therapeutic potential for metabolic disorders and highlight its role in regenerative medicine. By exploring its mechanism of action and functional properties, researchers aim to unravel the complexities of BMP signaling and its contributions to maintaining metabolic health. This growing body of research underscores the importance of BMP8A as a target for developing innovative treatments for metabolic diseases, thereby positioning it as a critical protein in the fields of endocrinology and metabolic research.
