简介
Glycoprotein 130 (gp130) is a trans-membrane protein, is the common signal-transducing receptor subunit of the interleukin-6 (IL-6) family[1]. gp130 inhibits the cell growth and migration[3], decreases the STAT3 phosphorylation induced by IL-6, and decreases IL-6-induced increase of Ki67. gp130 shows anti-tumor, anti-inflammation and anti-nociceptive activity[4][5]. gp130/IL6ST Protein, Mouse (617a.a, HEK293, His) is a recombinant protein with a His label and is produced by HEK293 cells.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
gp130, also known as Interleukin 6 signal transducer (IL6ST), plays a pivotal role in the signaling pathways of various cytokines, particularly the IL-6 family, which is crucial for immune responses, inflammation, and hematopoiesis. The protein functions as a signal transducer and is essential for the activation of numerous downstream pathways, including the JAK/STAT, MAPK, and PI3K/Akt pathways. Dysregulation of gp130 signaling has been implicated in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders, chronic inflammatory conditions, and certain cancers, making it a significant target for therapeutic interventions. Researchers have focused on developing recombinant gp130/IL6ST proteins to better understand its functions, interactions, and regulatory mechanisms. These recombinant proteins are invaluable for studying the molecular basis of gp130-mediated signaling and its implications in disease processes. Furthermore, the development of gp130 antagonists or modulators may provide innovative strategies for treating diseases linked to aberrant IL-6 signaling. Overall, the research on gp130/IL6ST recombinant proteins not only enhances our fundamental understanding of immune regulation but also paves the way for potential therapeutic advancements in inflammatory and neoplastic diseases.
